Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the GameScanAI website located at gamescan.space (the "Service") operated by the GameScanAI Team ("us", "we", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Service.

1. Description of the Service

GameScanAI is a free web-based gaming intelligence platform that aggregates data from third-party sources including Steam, IGDB, RAWG, and CheapShark to provide users with game search results, hardware compatibility estimates, real-time price comparisons, gaming news, release calendars, and interactive features such as quizzes and leaderboards.

The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising through the Google AdSense program. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

You may use the Service without creating an account. Optional account registration is available and allows you to save a personal game library, accumulate XP points, and appear on the community leaderboard. By registering you confirm that:

• You are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum digital age of consent in your country if higher).
• The information you provide during registration is accurate and up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You will notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for more than 24 months.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service in any way that:

• Violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
• Transmits unsolicited promotional communications (spam).
• Attempts to gain unauthorized access to our systems, servers, or third-party systems connected to the Service.

• Interferes with the proper working of the Service or places a disproportionate load on our infrastructure.

4. Intellectual Property

The GameScanAI name, logo, website design, original written content, and code are the intellectual property of the GameScanAI Team and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on our original content without prior written permission.

Game titles, cover art, screenshots, descriptions, and other game-related data displayed on the Service are the property of their respective owners (game developers and publishers). We display this data under fair use principles or via licensed APIs and make no claim of ownership over it.

5. Third-Party Content and Links

The Service displays data retrieved from third-party APIs (Steam, IGDB, RAWG, CheapShark) and links to third-party websites including game stores. We have no control over the content or accuracy of third-party information and are not responsible for any purchases, decisions, or actions you take based on data displayed on GameScanAI.

Clicking a deal link or price comparison link will redirect you to a third-party storefront. Your interactions with those stores are governed entirely by their own terms and privacy policies. GameScanAI does not process any payments and is not a party to any transaction between you and a third-party store.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
• The hardware compatibility results are accurate for every system configuration. Our analysis is an estimate based on publicly available benchmarks and may not reflect actual in-game performance.
• Game prices displayed are final or current at the moment of your visit. Prices are pulled from third-party APIs and may be subject to short delays.
• Any information, articles, or guides on the platform are free from errors or omissions.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the GameScanAI Team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed EUR 50.
